Star Wars & Star Treatment

What a wonderful week and a half! We've done heaps of fun stuff, worked a bit, relaxed a lot, and (as always) had soo much yummy food!

We successfully surprised G'ma and G'pa at the airport and had a lovely rest of our Wednesday.
Then, last Thursday we worked on Faking It again, but this time we were out in Glendora - almost an hour away!! What?! Suuuch a drag, especially because we had to be there at 5:30am..!!! Craziness. We made it, though, and ended up having a loooong day outside in the boiling sun! Not so fun.. The plus side was that the direction we'd driven was past the San Gabriel Valley where all the best chinese food is so once we were wrapped, around 6:00pm, we treated ourselves to Dim Sum/Yum Cha for dinner! We were all pumped up and we showed up at the place we went to last time aaaaand they weren't serving Dim Sum that late! Noooo! Feeling very discouraged about our options, the only thing Han could think to do was facebook message a girl, Ning Ning, Han had worked with who lives in the area to see if she had any suggestions. It was a long shot buuut almost immediately Ning Ning replied! And, even better, she had a suggestion for us! She even called up to make sure they were still serving Dim Sum, so sweet! It was only 8 minutes away so off we went to have the most delicious Dim Sum feast we've EVER had! Yes, we said it. Fried noodles, BBQ pork buns, shrimp wantons, and our favourite: egg yolk buns for dessert! SO PERFECT!
We honestly couldn't have been happier - especially when we got the bill and all that was only $25! Amazing.

On Friday Han worked Bella and the Bulldogs and Luce had the day off. Han didn't start till 2pm and it was a quick day, so when she got home we headed straight out to mum and Q's for the weekend!

On Saturday we went to the Miramar Air Show in celebration of Grandpa's birthday! Uncle Fred (G'pa's brother) and Aunt Lorene (Uncle Fred's wife) and G'ma and G'pa's friends, Ron and Carol, all came out to Cali to visit and celebrate too, so it was a big ol' crowd that made it down to the Air Show in San Diego. It. Was. HOT. And not just because of all the gorgeous Marines walking around! We had a look at all sorts of planes, which was actually really cool, then went into the grandstands to watch the demonstrations.
(Pics to come)
First was a kind of show (off) and tell of all the different helicopters and planes and things the Marines have, which was pretty intense, then the Patriots Jet team did some absolutely INCREDIBLE aerobatic tricks, totally amazing! Last off we saw the F-35B Lightning Demo which was pretty much a SUUPAHH FAST (and loud) plane flying past a couple times and hovering, very cool. After that we'd all had more than enough of the heat, so we called it a day. On the way out we managed to meet up with Greg and Luke for a few minutes which was really nice! It was fun to see 'em in their natural habitat haha. The only bummer of the day was that Carol had some trouble with the heat and ended up having to go to the medical tent! It all worked okay though, and it wasn't anything Q's BBQ ribs couldn't fix! We finished the day with a huge birthday dinner for Grandpa: ribs, cornbread, hash brown casserole, and green beans, and a yummy cake for dessert! Delish!

We'd barely digested that by the next morning when we went to the Mission Inn for one of the most glorious breakfast buffets ever created in an absolutely enchanting old Inn/Restaurant.
We ate more than our share of pastries, eggs benedict, bacon, pancakes, seafood, cheese, fruit, and an out-of-this-world bread pudding! YUM! After brekkie we went on a tour of the Inn which was actually quite fascinating - it's such a beautiful building and the grounds are gorgeous too, we're actually both quite taken with it as a potential wedding destination..! Now all we need are a coupla grooms...
After looking around the Inn, the two of us said our goodbyes and headed back into LA to spend the afternoon with one of our best friends from high school, Mike, who was in town for the weekend! We met up in Santa Monica and had lunch on the pier with Mike and his dad and brother. It was SO lovely catching up, we totally clicked right back into place and had sooo much to talk about! Mike's such a sweetheart, we're so glad we had a chance to see him! We walked along the beach for a while, chatting and people-watching, and then it was time to say goodbye :(
(Pics to come)
"What is dead may never die" (the adopted Capulet motto that we used together in Romeo and Juliet, the "C"s are for Capulet).
After seeing Mike off we went back to the 3rd Street Promenade area to do some shopping for a few extra touches we wanted for our Halloween costumes the following Wednesday! American Apparel and Forever 21 pulled through for us and we were SO excited to wear our outfits!

On Monday Han worked on Shameless, Luce did some stuff at home, and then we hung out with Sully that night! Not much else to report, a pretty average day in the life.. The only uhh shall we say "above" average thing was our weight..! We both weighed ourselves after out rather gluttonous weekend and we'd gained 3 pounds each - on top of what we've already gained in the last year! Yiiiikes!! Crunch time. Luce googled "how to lose weight when you have no will power" and the best result seemed to be a no carb diet. So, here goes..!

On Tuesday Han was babysitting in the evening so she spent the morning cleaning and working out, then did a couple errands and headed over to Michele's to take care of Ellie and Jack - love those crazy kids! Luce worked on Bad Judge, the highlight being that she saw Angela from The Office! Cool! When we'd both gotten home, we headed back out to mum and Q's for a very relaxing mini-vacation. Yeeee!

Wednesday was the big day of Mickey's Halloween Party in Disneyland!! SO EXCITING! We've been going through major withdrawal since our passes expired, so we were thrilled to be going! We had a chill morning at home then got ready (we were SO happy with how our costumes turned out, there's now glitter everywhere in the house and it's kind of amazing) and left to head into the park around 2pm. The whole fam did Star Wars themed costumes and we looked GREAT!
R2D2, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Queen Amidala, Jedi Jeanne, Yoda, and C-3PO. So fun!! Going on Star Tours together was a particularly successful adventure!
We rode all our favourite rides, people-watched to our hearts' content, and trick-or-treated our way around the park; we got SO MANY LOLLIES (and some carrot sticks and apples, that was the "trick" part).
After a fireworks spectacular, Q, G'ma, G'pa, and Aunt Jeanne headed home and the two of us and Mum went on one last ride: Ghost Galaxy..!
Luce was in the car behind and was completely terrified..! To end the night on a slightly less frightening note, we watched the adorable Halloween parade, so cute! Then the three of us headed home as well. What a magical day!

Thursday was rather magical too, in a completely different way. For Grandma's birthday present, we gave her a spa day at the Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa in Corona, accompanied by all her favourite ladies! The two of us, mum, Jeanne, and Grandma were absolutely in heaven! The facilities were stunning, it's totally unlike anywhere we've ever been and soo relaxing! We started out in a couple different mineral hot spring baths which were totally luxurious then went to 'Club Mud' where we covered ourselves/each other with clay, let it dry in the sun, washed it off in a warm pool, and properly showered afterwards - so fun!
After all that amazingness, we went over to The Grotto for a special additional treatment. Two people used big paintbrushes to cover our whole bodies with a smooth, warm mixture of aloe vera, shea butter, lavender oil, coconut oil, and eucalyptus oil then we went into a beautiful warm cave to let it soak into our skin. After about half an hour we showered and washed it all off then had apples and tea in another little cavern, such a unique, therapeutic experience!
After all that pampering we'd worked up an appetite! We had salads and nachos and other yummy food for lunch then spent the rest of the afternoon floating in the pool, perfection!

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we really just hung out at home - except for going out to breakfast at Polly's on Sunday - and played cards (G'pa taught us double deck pinochle), watched TV and a movie (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in honour of our costumes), and had a few delicious dinners (The two of us made everyone burgers on Friday, we had Chinese takeout Saturday, then bacon wrapped prawns last night). Finally last night, after five days of pampering, fun, and wonderful company, we headed back to LA.

Today Luce is chilling at home and Han's on Glee again! AND Jane Lynch just said "Hi" to her..! So cool! The episode seems like it'll be really funny - especially if they use a particular clip of Han in which she was completely terrified of being attacked by something she's not at liberty to disclose haha stay tuned for the full story after the episode airs!

Workaholics: The Sequel

It's been a HUGE couple weeks! We've been so flat out working that we've barely had time for anything else - although we did manage to fit in a little relaxation and treat ourselves to some yummy food. Here's the rundown of the shows we've worked:

Monday 15/9
Han worked on an Amazon show called Bosch and Luce took the day off. That night we got a tip off that Leonardo DiCaprio was going to be at a club out friend promotes for! So exciting!!! We decided to spend a night out on the town in hopes of spotting the gorgeous celeb (and having him fall in love with one of us, obviously..)
We had a fun time but, alas, no Leo! So sad.
Also, Han got some killerrrrr blisters that really just made it a night to remember every time she put on shoes for the next week.
Watch out though, Leo's gonna be fallin in love with one of us soon..

Tuesday 16/9
Han was booked as a Cheerio on Glee! SO EXCITING!! She had an awesome day strutting the halls of William McKinley High School.
(Olivia and Han's attempt at a love heart. Almost...)
Luce worked on a funny new show called Fresh off the Boat and spent the WHOLE DAY OUTSIDE. Rough stuff considering it was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit!

Wednesday 17/9
Han worked on A to Z again for their Halloween episode! The costumers gave her a, uhh, very interesting interpretation of Sherlock Holmes for her costume.
Yikes! It wasn't the most comfortable outfit but it was pretty hilarious so she tried to make the most of it - and she got a little featured bit in the shot! For better or for worse...
Luce was working on Fresh off the Boat again and it was another hot but fun day on set.

Thursday 18/9
Han was on A to Z again as "sexy Sherlock Holmes" and Luce was back on Fresh off the Boat for her last day.

Friday 19/9
Han had her last day on A to Z and Luce worked a show called Battle Creek with the gorgeous Josh Duhamel! She got an awesome featured bit where she had to "pretend" to check him out haha not much acting required there! The director seemed really impressed and said "thank you" afterwards and Josh (in the scene) said "hi" to Luce! SO cool, he was beyond attractive in real life and it was such a great night on set!

On Saturday morning we went to a 24 hour diner downtown that we've been totally hanging out to try! It hasn't closed since 1924!! THERE AREN'T EVEN LOCKS ON THE DOOR! How cool is that?! We got French toast (to die for) potatoes and sausage, YUM!
After that Han had an audition downtown for a really cool project! It went really well and she got asked in for a callback but the dates line up badly around Christmas so she had to respectfully decline. It was still totally worth it though and it felt great to be back in the game!
After the audition we headed out to mum and Q's for the rest of the weekend!
We had a lovely, Saturday and Sunday - the highlights including working on our tans, brekkie at another adorable diner, playing with the puppies, and a girls' movie afternoon to see This is Where I Leave You. (The movie was okay but Adam Driver was AMAZING! Officially one of our favourite actors!) We ate yummy food cooked to perfection by Q and left on Monday morning feeling rejuvenated.
Monday ended up being another relaxing day, Luce did some errands and Han babysat for another really lovely family! The next day we were back to work!

Tuesday 23/9
Han was on A to Z again, back in normal clothes this time, and Luce was on a medical reenactment show called Sex Sent Me to the ER, hilarious.

Wednesday 24/9
We were booked together on Faking It. We were booked as audience members for a high school beauty pageant but when we got there it turned out that one of the pageant girls was sick so they needed a replacement! We both went back to the wardrobe lady as options and she took one look at Lucy's boobs and said "there's no way we'll be able to squeeze those boobs into the dress". Eeeek! Bit of a bummer for Luce but there was absolutely nothing she could do about it, so Han soldiered on alone.
After an hour and a half of hair and makeup, Han officially looked like she was from Texas!
The southern versions of Belle, Cinderella, and Tiana - hilarious!
Luce was feeling a little ordinary, but I think we all know who would've won the pageant if her boobs were smaller...
"She's beauty and she's grace"
It was a fun day nonetheless and we were glad we got booked together!

Thursday 25/9
Luce was on a nickelodeon show called Henry Danger and Han was back on Glee, fun!

Friday 26/9
Booked together again, woo! We had a nice short day with a late call time working on The Fosters.

Finally it was the weekend again! YAAYY! We were so zonked out that we pretty much just slept, binge watched So You Think You Can Dance, and hung out with Sully. Exactly what we needed!

On Monday we were back at it! We spent the whole morning cleaning then Han had an audition in the afternoon (which went really well! YAY!) and babysat the same little boy, Hudson, from last week. Sully came over again that night and we hung out and played cards, love her to pieces!

Yesterday we were back at work on The Fosters. It was a really early call time in San Pedro, nearly an hour away!! Suuuch a struggle! We set alarms for 4:30, 4:45, and Luce set a backup alarm for 5:15 as a ten minute warning for when we had to leave. The first thing either of us recall is Luce waking up to her 5:15 alarm! OH NO! We flew outta bed and, by some miracle, managed to get ready in 15 minutes!! WOW! We made it to the address with time to spare, parked in the wrong place - literally the edge of the US, we couldn't have gone any further to the southwest - and walked a while before finally finding base camp and checking in! Go us! It was a gloriously short day and we were wrapped at 11:30!! Yeee!
We stopped for boba and were home and back in bed before 1:00. Success.
Post-nap we took it easy and Luce cooked up a storm for dinner, delicious fried rice!

Today we both took the day off to surprise Grandma and Grandpa at the airport when they arrived this morning! SO amazing to have them here, we can't wait to spend some quality time with them!! We stopped at Dunkin Donuts in Santa Monica on our way back to NoHo for a yummy lunch with Sully! We're doing burgers on the grill and she's making her grandma's rice pudding, can't wait! Han's babysitting again tonight and we both got booked on Faking It again tomorrow! What a crazy/awesome/fun/exciting few weeks!!

The Princess Diaries

It's been a super chill and very fun week - we've really felt like royalty in the making, all we have to do now is make it big or book one particular gig (read on) so we can really live like princesses!
Friday night was a lovely Frozen movie night with mum and Q and the neighbors! Saturday was very relaxing too. We swam in the pool, ate delicious BBQ, and watched The Quest (we're sooo hooked!) all day long!
On Sunday we woke up super early and headed back into LA to work at Bronzed Aussie for the first time in AGES! The reason was....... Sunrise (the Aussie version of Good Morning America) was filming a segment at the bakery!!! It was a super fun morning and we got to meet Kochie! (Mid-smile in this pic but ahh well)
That night we went out to a stand up comedy show with Sullivan, Luke, and Greg and it was actually really good! Then the five of us, joined by Gerald, hung out at Sully's for a super fun night in because of the long weekend!
On Monday we hung out by the pool all morning then came home and passed out for the longest nap ever! 4 and a half hours later we woke up and, all plans of barbecuing for ourselves out the window, we went to In-N-Out! Most. Amazing. Burgers. And. Shakes. EVER! Yum! Such a great long weekend!!
Honestly though, the weekend kind of continued, through no fault of our own, all week long..! We weren't booked for background Tuesday or Wednesday, so we spent our time cleaning and getting ready for Dad's visit! Han also kept working on her script which has been really fun! On Wednesday we also went out to the new Dunkin Donuts that's just opened in Santa Monica - the first one in LA! It was packed! So yummy and such a blast from the past!
We got dinner from a yummy Japanese place and went and ate down on the beach, so fun!
Yesterday was a little more exciting though!! We got glammed up and went out on a huge cattle call audition to be disney princesses on their cruise ships!
Han asked Sierra, who works as a disney princess in Disneyland, for some audition advice and it sounded really manageable! Just smile, say your name, look pretty, can do! We show up, Han wearing jeans and both wearing flats, and everyone was in full on dance gear! Gahh! Well, maybe they don't know what's going on..... Unfortunately not. It was TOTALLY DANCE BASED! Yoikes! We decided to just go with it and give it a go and it was actually really fun! On top of that, we BOTH made it through to the final round of cuts! Luce was picked as a lookalike and Han as a dancer/lookalike (we think, anyway). Out of about 75 people, Han was in the top 15 dancers and Luce was one of only 5 other girls picked as a lookalike! We were SO proud of ourselves - Luce especially because dancing is waaayy out of her comfort zone. We won't find out until November though if we're chosen because they have some more rounds of casting before then, so fingers crossed!
Today we got all the last things ready for Dad to arrive tomorrow! SO EXCITING!! And we spent the afternoon with Sully then saw Brian and Brittany tonight. It's been a lovely day and we cannot wait for Dad to arrive in the morning!!! WOO!

Girls' Week! xx

Another fun work week with a particularly AMAZING day on set, a couple fab awards shows, and some extra yummy meals out!

On Friday Han had a fun and easy day on Scandal - she even managed to glimpse Kerry Washington! - and Luce had a chill day at home.

We spent pretty much our whole weekend with Sully! We went out to lunch at EAT on Saturday and it was delish, then on Sunday we spent the whole day by the pool and Sully treated us to the best sandwiches EVER for lunch!! Brie cheese, fig and apple jam, bacon, and chicken. Amazing. Han ran out in the afternoon to meet a family she's going to be babysitting for (they were absolutely lovely! Buuut she's gonna have to lock those cats in a bedroom..) then when she got back we ordered Thai food and watched the VMAs! Great show - TSwift is adorable but has way too many limbs to dance with much coordination, Lorde was fantastically non-Hollywood and awkward, Miley actually earned some respect from us by backing the cause of homeless youth in LA, and Queen Bey stole the show with her finale performance!

Neither of us got booked for Monday, so we had a late sleep in, ran some errands, then Han went out on a lovely date! When she got back we went back over to Sully's - still not sick of each other! - to meet her Dad who's in town and watch the Emmys! We thought Seth Meyers actually did a really great job and everyone looked stunning! We were a bit disappointed that GoT, House of Cards, and Orange is the New Black didn't win much of anything - it was still very much the Modern Family and Breaking Bad show, like, c'mon, we get that those shows are great buuut Peter Dinklage and Robin Wright? SO amazing. We were SUPER happy that Sherlock did so well!! 7 Emmys overall and well deserved, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are incredible! Well done on those ones Emmy voters, you can stay. By the time the show was over it was pretty late and we both had really early call times the next morning, so we raced home and straight to bed.

On Tuesday we both had 6:30am call times! Han was on a new show called A to Z and Luce was on Criminal Minds. It was NOT Han's morning - the address was wrong then she couldn't find the right gate at Warner Brothers then security was a nightmare but she was only 4 minutes late when - nooo!! Got a call from Central Casting and toootally sin-binned for being late, oops! Then to top it off the AD was absolutely horrible and another extra said loudly "it's always the blondes that are late" ugh. On the plus side we both had super short days! Luce got wrapped at 9:30! What?! She was home and back in bed for a nap by 10:00! Unreal. Han was wrapped around 1:00, so no complaints there! AND, to make the afternoon even better, we both got booked on New Girl for the next day!! WOOO! SO EXCITING! We hung out all arvo, went to Trader Joe's, and finished watching the last season of Gossip Girl! SUCH a satisfying ending! YAY!

We woke up at 4:30 to leave for set by 5:30! Woah!! It wasn't too bad though cos we were BEYOND excited to be working on New Girl together! We made it to Fox studios no worries and made it to Stage 29 without a hitch! As we walked into the background holding area we walked past the facade set for the outside of the apartment building! So cool! We checked in and went to wardrobe and while we were there WINSTON AND NICK (Lamorne Morris and Jake Johnson) DROVE UP IN THEIR POSH CARS RIGHT WHERE WE WERE STANDING. So cool. It only got cooler though because we realized that our holding area was RIGHT NEXT TO the loft set! We couldn't resist taking a couple sneaky pics of everything!
Soon after, they called us onto set and..... It was the regular bar set that they use almost every episode!!! GAAHH!! So cool. Our excitement was pretty obvious and the AD who was placing people totally looked after us! He put Han right behind the actors so she almost definitely got some screen time and Luce was sitting RIGHT at the bar with the actors!! We were beside ourselves. Schmidt (Max Greenfield) Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) were all there too and the scene was HILARIOUS! We can't say much about it but we can't wait to see what makes the final cut! It was honestly the coolest thing to watch them work, to see how much improv is involved, and see how genuinely nice the actors were! Only made us love the show even more!
We spent the day with two of our favourite background gals and at lunch the four of us did some exploring around Fox! Luce was stoked to find the bench from modern family:
We weren't on set too much longer after lunch and we were wrapped! Such a wonderful day, we totally lucked out and we were SO glad we got to work on it together!

Yesterday was another lovely day! Sully invited us to go to a fashion show with her and that sounded like far too glamorous of an offer to pass up! We spent the day at the Glendale Galleria, shopping for some accessories for Han to complete her outfit and Luce got a couple things too - we showed amazing restraint though. Also, it's been SO long since we just went to a mall to shop! So strange! We went to Olive Garden for lunch and finally used our gift card from a year ago! Calamari and pastaaaaa so goood! Then we headed home to get ready for the event!
UH OH! Spanner in the works! We got a text from Sully saying that we have to be 21 to get in..! Nooo! She came over anyway to figure something out and get ready. It turned out the girl who invited Sullivan had a fake ID and thought we did too, so the fashion show was a no go... But we'd already started curling our hair, so we weren't giving up on having a glamorous night out! We definitely wanted to go for a bar/lounge type scene rather than a club, and we'd heard about an Aussie one called Vaucluse in Hollywood. We called up to see if we could get in and got a magical "yes" WOO! We were all dressed up with somewhere to go!
We got to the bar and it was so cool! Totally our scene. Lots of Aussies, great music, yummy food - and we ran into our GoT friend Eddie! So crazy/cool/serendipitous! So we hung out with him, made some new Aussie friends, chatted with the owners, ate sausage rolls and pizza, and got our palms read by a very drunk gypsy!
The night couldn't have gone better and we will most definitely be going back to Vaucluse!

This morning we all woke up fairly early and Sully invited us out to brekkie with her Mum and Dad, so sweet! On the way there she got a text from her friend who'd invited us to the fashion show saying that security was super tight last night and the girls with fakes didn't get in! Ahh!! We were SO relieved we went with Vaucluse instead, feeling veeerry lucky! For brekkie we went to Aroma Cafe and the two of us split eggs Benedict and possibly some of the best French toast ever - it was made with a croissant for bread - with strawberries, bananas, and maple syrup. Scrumptious! (Running out of "yummy" adjectives so there's a creative one for ya).
Then we went home and got all our stuff together for a couple days at Mum and Q's! We're on our way out now, should be there in 20 minutes for a fun, relaxing Labor Day weekend!

Workaholics

It's been a big week and a half! Sorry about the prolonged silence - we've been super busy!!

On Tuesday we both worked on Last Man Standing, the sit-com Tim Allen stars in, and had a really fun day. We were playing football fans and we sat RIGHT NEXT TO TIM ALLEN! So. Cool. The day went by pretty quick and we were wrapped!
On Wednesday we threw it back to the 80's on the Goldbergs!! SO fun to wear 80's get up and get our hair done - rockin the leg warmers and ponytail!
We were on set with a couple awesome people, so the long day flew by!

Thursday we had the day off and we walked to ihop for brunch and used our other free meal vouchers! YUM! Cinnamon swirl brioche French toast and eggs benny, amazing! Besides that we just hung out and cleaned da flat!

On Friday morning we got up bright and early and went over to Chambers' studio bright and early to help him screen test the commercials in his new book! It was a super successful morning and a really great opportunity to practice our commercial acting skills.
After that, Luce headed out to Mum and Q's for a relaxing weekend and Han went over to babysit Jack and Ellie again.

-- Han --
The kids were heaps of fun and absolutely hilarious. Jack - this is him:
Was extreeeemely inventive when it came to excuses for going to sleep. My favourite by far was: I caaaan't go to sleep because I don't know how to close my eyes. He committed to that too! But eventually all was well, kids were asleep, and the rents came home.
The night was yet young! I got a text from Sully that she and a couple friends were at the Grove for sprinkles cupcakes and a movie - too great of a chance to pass up!
After our cupcakes (mine was raspberry, delish) we headed in to an 11:40 showing of Let's Be Cops. It was actually really funny! Such a lovely, spontaneous night! I didn't get to bed until about 3:00 though, after showering and getting everything ready for work the next (well, same) morning, but I had no regrets!

On Saturday I was up at  5:30 to make it to set by 6:45. Ahhh sooo earlyyyy!!! I was working a movie the a couple of my friends from Champan were on crew for, though, so that was an added incentive to get outta bed! It was great to see my mates and the scene was fun and super short - and I got a really featured bit!! Success! I did have to make out with a total stranger BUT he was completely gorgeous so it was really a win-win.
I went home after I was wrapped, had a rockin little nap, and then met back up with the gang for dinner at a brewery in Glendale after they'd finished up! It was SUCH a fun group of people, and we kept the party going afterwards at Cooper's place for drinks and a late night swim. Perfect Saturday night!

On Sunday I had a chill morning, made myself a scramble for brekkie, worked on the screenplay I've started writing, and went down to the pool to swim some laps!
Rockin the goggles, I know. While I was down there I found the coolest squirrel in the world:
That night I walked to the taco truck down the street for some seriously good street food! Had two particularly special moments:
1) tried to snap a sneaky pic of the truck, pretending to text, acting all nonchalant aaaaand the flash was on...
2) I evidently need to work on my Spanish. I was order #39, the lady called "treinta y ocho" and I crossed my fingers and went up. Ooops, not my number..! 2 mins later she calls: "thirty niiine"
My mouth was burning from the world's spiciest salsa (which nevertheless didn't detract from the amazingness of the tacos) so I met up with Sully for froyo down the street, yum! She came over afterwards and we hung out and watched a dodgey movie on Netflicks, love that gal to pieces!
I fared surprisingly well on my weekend without Luce - great friends are most definitely the next best thing!

On Monday morning I did a little photoshoot thing for the webseries I filmed a little while back which was cool, and then Luce was back!

-- Luce --
I had an absolutely lovely relaxing weekend out with Mum and Q! It was so nice to have a little escape from the hustle and bustle of LA.
Friday night was movie night with the neighbours and we all had a fab time watching Tangled under the stars! :)
On Saturday Mum, Q, and I went out to brunch at a cute place nearby that they hadn't tried yet and it was amaaaazing! I had a 'California Benedict' which had turkey and avocado on it and ohmygosh it was delish. The rest of the day was spent hanging out, introducing Mum & Q to the awesomeness that is Sherlock, and chilling in the pool. So lovely!
Sunday was another relaxing day of hanging out and going shopping with Mum - gotta love that quality time! I also washed and folded an obscene amount of laundry haha, fun times.. On Monday morning I packed up the Sentra with all the clothes and headed back to LA feeling very refreshed after such a great weekend!

-- Han & Luce --
We did afternoon tea with Sully at a little place called Aroma Cafe, really cute! Ran some errands, Han was full steam ahead on the screenplay, and then we had Mexican again for dinner - amaaahzinggg!!

Tuesday this week Han had a super easy/short day on NCIS and Luce had a looong day on a new MTV Pilot called Scream. We finished the day with blueberry muffins and Gossip Girl, perfection!

Yesterday we were on The Mindy Project, working at Universal Studios. It was yet ANOTHER easy day, what a great streak (well, for Han at least)! We made it to set EXACTLY on time, like zero minutes to spare, and spent the day on the Hollywood backlot pretending we were in NYC!
It was such a fun set to be on and it didn't hurt that it was only about a 6 hour day! Yay!

Today we're on set together again, back on Major Crimes. We had all day to ourselves to hang out and grocery shop because we weren't called until 7:30pm!! We're actually on set right now, in a suuuper fancy house pretending to be at a high school party - wish this is actually what high school parties were like!!! Well, except that there'd be real music/food/drinks going on..!
We've been told there's not too much to shoot, so with a little luck we'll be wrapped and back home for a good night's sleep!

Tomorrow Han's working on Scandal and Luce has the day off. What jam-packed and super-lucky lives we lead! :)
