Who Needs Sleep??

It's been an amazing few days for us with a lot of reeeally late nights..!
On Wednesday Luce had another audition! Woo! We also went out and bought everything we needed for our costumes for Disney on Friday! So exciting!!

My audition was for a World Cup themed Corona commercial and it was so fun! I went on a quick shopping spree with Han beforehand because I needed "sexy shorts" for the audition and I didn't think any of the shorts Han and I had were sexy enough..! Haha.. So we went out and found some appropriately sexy shorts (and they were on sale!!) in addition to finding all of the costume items we needed!
My audition was at 3:45 so I got all dressed up and arrived with plenty of time to spare.. It was lucky I was there early because there was a line out the door of soooo many girls dressed in various different skimpy outfits! Ha! I was auditionee number 124 and they were only up to around number 90 when I arrived so I had a little while to wait.. After about an hour, four other girls and I went into a little room in front of the casting directors! We had to then say our name, the name of our agency, and then slowly turn in a circle so they could see every side of us.. Embarrassingly for me, I didn't know about the whole turning in a circle thing and because I was the first girl to go there was this awkward pause and one of the other girls had to tell me to turn! Ahh so embarrassing! But I laughed it off so I think it's fine haha... After that we all had to pick up a Corona and sell it to the man on the audition panel! I had fun with it and was as charming and cute as I could possibly be, so in the end I felt great about my audition! I then walked back to the car (with beeps and catcalls galore from passers by) and then went home to see Han! Yayyy!

In the morning, we ran all over North Hollywood finding singlets, soffe shorts, long socks, name tags, fabric, and a hot glue gun to put together the masterpieces that were our Disney costumes! It was really fun and we had better luck finding everything than we'd expected, we couldn't wait to wear em!
Next on the agenda (after Lucy's audition) was getting ready for a suuper fun and fancy night out with our new promoter friend Chad and his friends! We went to Fig & Olive in Hollywood for dinner and Oh. My. God. It was amazing! SO yummy, they just brought out plate after plate of incredible food! We had:
1) Zucchini carpaccio
2) Crostinis. A cheese, fig paste, and almond one, a shrimp, guac, and grapes one, a ricotta, pesto, balsamic one, and one with roast beef and horseradish
3) Cheese truffle mushroom fried ball things
4) Salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus
5) Pasta with mushrooms, garlic, and olive oil
6) Couscous
7) Strawberry shortcake
8) Chocolate mousse
9) Strawberry gelato
10) Caramel/honeycomb nougat bites of heaven
We lived the lives of rich people for FREE on a WEDNESDAY?!! Unreal.
After dinner we went over to an awesome new club that Chad promotes, skipped the line, and headed inside! The music was awesome and it had a really cool vibe inside. It was kind of circusy with a jester guy running around and the waitresses all in costume, we loved it! We danced and hung out for a couple hours, taking it all in!
Given that it was a Wednesday, though, we faded kinda early and decided to call it a night around 12:30. It was SUCH a different experience to our first time clubbing in LA and, honestly, even more fun!

On Thursday we slept in, took it easy, organized everything we needed to take to Mum and Q's, and Luce finished making our AMAZING additional costume pieces! The reason we had such a cruisey day was...... We'd both been booked on the same ALL NIGHT call AGAIN! Ohhhmygoshh we were not so excited about pulling a second all nighter! It actually ended up being a really fun night though. We were filming a bonfire scene, so it was a pretty big call with some really fun people - lots of familiar faces in the 18-to-look-younger background circuit. We ate an amazing chorizo breakfast burrito, made it into the shot heaps of times, listened to some shockingly bad guitar playing/rapping at holding, froze our butts off, and laughed a lot. We wrapped around 5:30am (almost 12 hours after our call time!) and drove straight out to Mum and Q's for the weekend. Luce, like an absolute champ, got us there safely and we both stumbled into bed for a few hours sleep before the Disney 24-hour party!

Feeling rejuvenated after food and coffee, we got into our adorable costumes (Toy Story themed: Hamm, Rex, and Mr. & Mrs. Potatohead) and the fam bam headed to Disneyland, woo!!!
We had a FANTASTIC time! Our costumes were a huge hit, we tried some delicious Maleficent cake-pops and the best hot dogs EVER, ran into the most amazing Kevin and Mr. Frederickson from Up, killed it on Toy Story Midway Mania, watched Aladdin, did Luigi's Tires and Tower of Terror, and most definitely rocked our Disney side!!
The quote of the day came when the ride loading guy in Cars Land said "A dragon next to a cat, that seems dangerous!" What?! I mean yes Hamm and Rex are slightly obscure costumes except for the fact that 1) we're in Disneyland, 2) we're walking around with Mr. & Mrs. Potatohead, and 3) we're wearing NAMETAGS..!
Haha too funny! We watched World of Colour at night and it was as magical as ever - made even more magical by the Ghirardelli hot chocolates we were drinking! Then we went over to Disneyland to finish the night on Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters and Star Tours (we also bumped into Han's old roommate and bestie Sierra!! Yeee! SO lovely to see her and catch up!!)
We made it to midnight and called it a night, all very impressed and satisfied with such a great effort on so little sleep! It was a wonderful afternoon of disney magic and so lovely to catch up with mum and Q after about 3 weeks apart!

Yesterday and today were the most relaxing and cruisey days at Mum and Q's. We sat in the spa, watched movies, played with the doggies, ate yummy food, and did a ton of laundry - a successful weekend! We just got back to the apartment and are getting ready for the fun and busy week ahead! Stay tuned!
