Our night call on Wednesday ended up being so much FUN!! We got there at 6:00pm and went to hair and makeup (which is always a bit of a treat!) to get glammed up '80s style!!
Sneaky selfie in the bathroom, shhhh...
We can't say too much because the project's apparently pretty top secret, but the scene we were shooting was a concert scene and the song was so catchy!! Which was great because we listened to it about a hundred times... The actors had such amazing energy and we were right in the front of the crowd, so it wasn't hard to stay pepped up! We hit overtime around 3:00am and weren't wrapped until 6:00! Ohmygoshhh SO crazy! We stopped by Maccas for hash browns and coffees, drove home like zombies, fell into bed, and slept until 12:00!
On Thursday afternoon we met up with our friend Mike to hike in Griffith Park. We'd never been up to the observatory before and the view was spectacular!!
We went Yogurtland afterwards which was pretty amazing, it's been so long since we've had fro yo!
It was a lovely afternoon and we had a great time with Mike as always. We were also feeling pretty proud of ourselves for making such an effort after our all nighter! We spent the evening hanging out at home and filling out a survey for our Beauty and the Geek audition hahah we did our best to be truthful whiiiile omitting information here and there that would give away the fact that we're actually pretty smart. We weren't convinced it'd be so easy to seem like airheads for the audition the next day though!
Our audition was at 2:00, so we spent the morning getting all dolled up and headed over to Santa Monica with plenty of time to spare. We inadvertently got into character on the way there as it was a bit of a struggle to fine the studio and we had a couple blonde moments, but we made it!
We had to fill out another questionnaire, then we went in to meet with the casting director! She was super friendly and all we really had to do was get some pictures taken and have a conversation with her so she could see that we were engaging people - nailed it! Because they really were looking for Americans, we're thinking it'll be a push for us to get chosen. The CD said she'd keep us in mind for other shows she casts though, so who knows!
We had put way too much effort into looking our best to go straight home, so we decided to go to the Grove and have a cupcake and run some errands. It was a stunning LA day, not a cloud in the sky, and we had a lovely time wandering around and window shopping before heading home. We treated ourselves to Chinese delivery (sesame chicken and fried rice) for dinner, SO good! And we watched a wonderful blast from the past chick flick, Just Like Heaven, with Mark Ruffalo and Reese Witherspoon - what a wonderful day!
Yesterday we had the most typically great Saturday ever! We slept in, sat by the pool for a few hours, ate yummy food, and got the most glorious Easter care package EVER from Dad, Claire, Eddie and Will!
Complete with choccies, Tim Tams, Aussie boxing gloves to hang from our rear view mirrors, and the most amazing bottle opener ever created with authentic Australian kangaroo scrotum as the handle. Unreal. Hahaha thanks so much you guys!!! Then at night we had our first clubbing experience in LA!! Our friend Lex who we'd met at Sullivan's place way back when is a promoter for various clubs and invited us out to Sound with him and his friends!
The club was awesome, we made some new friends, and we danced the night away! Woohoo!!
This morning we grabbed Maccas sausage and egg mcmuffins (most amazing thing EVER) and totally rallied! Now we're spending the afternoon/evening in California Adventure for some Disney magic! So fun!!
Well, this post clears up several of the snapchats I've been receiving!
