Bed by 10:30 on our Wild Weekend ;)

It's been a big weekend! And not in a late-night-out-on-the-town kind of way either!

The major accomplishment on Friday was the mammoth effort of compiling/posting our 1 year anniversary blog entry (even though it says it was posted on Thursday, shhh).

Saturday, though, was a MASSIVE day! We started it off right with a delicious brekky out at a place we've never been to called EAT. It was SO yummy, and if we hadn't made a pact with ourselves not to eat at the same restaurants before trying new ones (excluding Cactus, our Mexican fave, of course) we'd be back there asap! We each ordered the specialty French toast, Luce's had vanilla/caramel sauce, coconut, and pineapple, and Han's had raspberries and Nutella!

Next on the agenda was Han's first of THREE auditions for the day! Woah! It was for a paid (gasp!) theatre show that seems really great! Han's role was a rich airhead who'd been cut off from the family's finances, so fun! Binge watching Gossip Girl definitely paid off for that one!

After that we had an audition together that our agent got us for the same role in a pilot tv show. It was the world's least stressful audition! We only had two lines to say and the people in the room auditioning us were super chill, so it was fun! We also ran into a friend of Han's from Chapman on the way out which was a crazy/cool moment!

After that we set our sights on finding cliche jobs outside of the entertainment industry. Yes, you guessed it: waitressing. We hit up Outback Steakhouse (hopefully the Aussie accents will do the trick!) and Olive Garden for job applications, so we'll update later this week with our progress!

We had a little time at home before Han went out for her last audition and Luce went to do some voiceover work on the webseries.

This last audition was a reeeaally strange one! It was for a theatre production, so I looked up the theatre ahead of time aaaand the Yelp reviews were a bit alarming..! I decided to go check it out for myself anyway, and I ended up having an odd but definitely not bad experience. There were about 20 people of all different looks and ages there, and once it appeared that everyone had arrived, the director started talking to us. He was this super nice, long winded, somewhat funny southern guy who seemed to have great, if ambitious, intentions for his show. The best part was when an actor walked in late, while his back was turned to sign in, the director mouthed "play along" to the rest of us before saying, in full voice, "in answer to your question, yes, the entire second act will be performed completely in the nude." HA! We all did our best not to laugh and the guy who was late IMMEDIATELY put down his pen, turned around, and walked out! Hilarious. (The director stopped him before he actually left, ensuring him that no nudity was required).
The audition itself consisted of an improv argument with another person about parking in LA, reacting to "something coming towards you" in any way we wanted while twinkley music played, and having one of 5 simultaneous conversations about nothing while everyone was also on stage. Weird. But quite fun! I ended up getting offered a role in the play, but I'm still deciding whether or not it'll be a smart use of my time - I'll let you know!

I got to set for the webseries and the first thing I found out was that there were photos online from last week when I was shooting my scene!! Yay! The girl who took them was so so lovely and she sent me a link straight away! Here are a couple of the best ones..!
After having a nice chat with Cate, the photographer, I talked to one of the writers/actors and it turned out that instead of having me do a voiceover for the rest of my role (which includes being the morning announcements girl at school) they actually want to film me doing it! Woo, more screen time for me! So it I wasn't actually needed there yesterday and I'll be filming the rest on location at a school in mid July which gives me something to look forward to!! I headed home, excited to eat some yummy food and watch some trashy tv with Han, a crazy Saturday night (haha)!

Today was another full, fun day at Universal Studios with Mum and Q! Our morning was a little rocky - we slept through our alarms until 15 minutes before mum and Q picked us up, the brekky place we wanted to go to was shut, and the Despicable Me ride broke down just as we got to the front of the line BUT we handled all that with a laugh and afterwards things totally turned around for a perfect day! We rode all the rides, did the backlot tour, ate good food, and caught up on everything that's been going on in each other's lives. We also got waaayy more soaked than we'd intended to on the Jurassic Park ride!
Mum and Q had to head back kinda early to feed the doggies so we called it a day around 3:00 and what a great day it was! We're just hanging out for the rest of the night, maybe going over to see Bri and Brit, and probably (hopefully) having another early night! Han's got a 6am call time tomorrow, so it'll have to be an early night if she doesn't want to be a zombie!
